Wine 101

A true introductory course - this class is generally taught as a lecture but can be used to accompany a corporate wine tasting, team building evening, or customized for a private event. This course runs 2-2.5 hour and is ideal for those that are looking to begin their wine journey.

The following topics will be covered:

» How To Speak Wine
» Wine Production: White, Red, and Rose (we will also briefly touch on Sparkling wines)
» How to Taste
» 10 Do’s and Don’t of Wine

A minimum of 4 wines will be tasted in this class.


The South African Wine Course

Consider this your introduction to the world of SA Wines. This course while designed for professionals is a good follow up to our Wine 101 class. Explore the regions and styles of South African wines and how to properly serve them. This course generally lasts 5 hours (which can be split over multiple days) with a 60 minute exam to follow.

This is the course for bubble lovers! If you ever wanted to know what makes Champagne different from Cava, Prosecco, or Cremant, look no further. This 2-3 hour course is a perfect celebration for someone special or a special occasion – however, we think bubbles are great any day – so we offer the course for any occasion.

Food and Wine Pairings

We all know the phrase, red wine with red meat – but is that always the case? In this course we delve into the magical world of food and wine pairing: where 1+1 can equal 3. The components within a wine can elevate flavors and senses in food, and you can learn how to maximize these combinations. This course generally runs 3 hours and includes food, so don’t fill up before class.
